Daily Life: Chickenpox

Hello there. I had plans to blog a few days ago, but my plans were put back due to Rhys getting the chickenpox Easter Sunday evening. I thought he got bit by small flies as he had been out in the sun playing easter egg hunt in the garden. By the following morning he was covered in spots. A few of them very blistered and I wasn't too sure if it was the chickenpox or not, because I couldn't remember what the chickenpox look like. I got an appointment with the doctor just in case it was something else. He told me that it was the chickenpox and gave me some lotion to cool down Rhys' skin and some antihistamine. I also kept giving him so Calpol and it has helped so much. He didn't itch as much as I thought he would. It was a nightmare to put on the lotion on him. Rhys doesn't like things to be rubed on to his skin.

Jeff had bought some Easter egg hunt treats for us all to do an Easter egg hunt at home, but even that didn't go to plan. In the morning I hard boiled some eggs and had plans to paint them with Rhys and everyone in the house. It turned out to be just me and Rhys. The paint was broken so we used some markers to colour the eggs. Rhys enjoyed it and I think that was all that mattered. I hid the eggs around the front garden and Rhys had to find them. He was so excited that he had to hide them and we had to find the eggs. This carried on untul Monday.

A few of us went out Sunday night for some karaoke. It was a good night, lots of dancing and having fun. Since then the weather has been fantastic ,Rhys and I are really enjoying it. We went to feed the swans down by the river Shannon, Rhys was trowing in the bread into the swans and shouts to them "It's ye lucky day swans" I had to laugh at him. There were other people feeding them but because it was him the swans should feel lucky. I love the way he comes out with funny things like that.

What did you get up to during the Easter holidays? I hope you had a safe and fun Easter.

Nails Of The Day: MUA Apricot Candy

Good morning everyone. Its nearly April how fast is this year going? It only seems like yesterday was January. Since its spring I purchased some spring shade nail polish.

This particular polish is by MUA and the shade is called Apricot Candy. Its a peatchy shade, once I seen it I had to have it. I never has this shade of polish before.

This is a square 6.2ml bottle. The consistency is a little watery for me and applies some what streaky. Two coats would get it opaque with minor streaking. Three coats would be best for those of you who would like a very opaque coat.

I don't particularly mind having small amount of streaks as long as its not too visible. I am not a fussy person. All of MUA's nail polish is under €2. For that price I think that it is a good polish and I would totally buy the rest of the line. I like the packaging, the bottle is small and it would be very easy to travel with. Overall I like it and I would buy more.

Have you tries any of MUA's products or their nail polishes. Let me know what you though of them. I would love to hear from you in the coments below.

Thank you for stopping by.

Daily Life: Update on my Life

Hello there. It has been a good while since I have blogged, I think it was just before Christmas that I wrote my last post. I am sorry guys that I haven't been blogging. Life has just taken over again. I know I always say the same thing but it is true. So since last December this is what I have been up to.

First off I have been looking for a job and still unemployed. It is so frustrating to look for a job. I'll still keep a look out for one. I don't know if I had told you about a blog type of website that I was on. I forget the name of it now, but for every article you  would write, you would get paid. It became very sketchy by the time I left it. They weren't paying as muchas they were suppost to when I singed up. Then all these rules came in, so to make this awful long story short, I wrote over one hundred articles and made my €50 worth, naturally I redeemed. I knew I would have to wait for at least two to three months to get paied though paypal. To this day I still didn't get paid. I think it was a total scam. To be honest I didn't fret to much about it, because at the end of the day I didn't loose out on anything, I didn't have to pay to sing up all that was wasted was my time.

For the past few weeks I have started knitting. I bought myself a pair of needles and some cheap wool. The reason for the cheap wool was so that I would see if I liked it or not, or how good I would be. I really love it, its so relaxing. At the moment I am learning how to make a guage swatch and how to make a childs jumper from my measurements. I have been researching on YouTube how to  knit a jumper. I enjoy making my own items like clothes, that is why in school I loved woodwork and metalwork. I was the only girl in metalwork for two years. It was fun. I gave it up because the last two years really focused on more of the mechanical side of things. I didn't really want to be a machanic.

Some news on my Rhys. He is getting very big everyday, and talks like he is six and not three. He doesn't like to be called a baby, and has an opionion on evrything. We are nearly there with potty training. He is drinking less during the night and I am hoping in a other few weeks there will be no nappies. I am looking forward to that day.

In other news Jeff and I are looking for a house to move it it. We need our own space at this stage, Rhys needs his own room. Rhys has so many toys at the moment that there is no room to put them all. I have to do some sort of car boot sale to get rid of some of them. Well I think that is some news that I can think of for you all. I hopw you enjoyed this post and I have more coming in the next few days. It has all been planed out.

Thank you again for stopping by it means the world to me.

First Impressions: Essence Get Big Lashes

Hi everyone. Today I am going to do a first impression on the Essence Get Big Lashes mascara. I got it about two weeks ago and forgot about it.

This is the description on the back of the tube: curl effect, for maximum volume and extremely thick lashes.

When I opened this mascara it has a curves wand with fiber like bristles. I noticed that a lot of product came out on the brush and I had to wipe the excess away. Which turned out to be a messy job. My first coat of mascara was quite impressive I liked the way it separated every lash and it also gave me great length. Not much of a curl or volume though. To get more volume I applies a second coat and ended up with some spider legs, which I don't like to have.

Likes
• The color of the tube.
• The wand, its easy to use
• That it separates my lashes so well

Dislikes
• Too much product comes out at once
• Its a wet formula
As you can see I have more likes then dislikes. It was under €3 and that is always a good bonus for me anyway.
Thank you everyone for reading my posts it means a lot to me.

NOTD: Snow Flake nail art

Good morning guys. This is my first attempt at any sort of Christmas Nail art. I have watched so many Christmas nail art tutorials on YouTube and I really wanted to do one myself. I wanted to do something easy so that it doesn't take me all night to do.

This is what I came up with.
I like the way it turned out for the first try. What do you guys think?

Nails of the day: Fame Fatal

Hi everyone. It has been so long since I did a nails of the day. To be honest I didn't purchase any new polishes until a few days ago. I wanted to pick up a true Christmas red polish because I had a nail art in mind to do for the holidays. It was a Santa one that I seen Cute Polish do on her channel.

This Essence polish is called Fame Fatal. Its a deep rich red. What I think is a true Christmas red should be like. It's very opaque in one coat. Here I have done two. I noticed that the shade of red is a little lighter with one coat them with two. Its dries glossy. Drying time is about 6 to 7 minutes.
I really like this shade for €1.79 you can't go wrong.

Thank you everyone who reads my blog. Its been a bumpy year for me and I hope next year will bring me more luck.

LIfe Update: Where I have been for the past few months.

Good day my fellow bloggers. I know I have been away since September but I just needed this break. So much has been happening and I couldn't find the time to sit down and blog it all. It has been such an overwhelming couple of months. Let me start from the start.

Sep: The week after Rhys' birthday, he started play group. It was such an emotional time for me because I didn't know how he would get on. Would he like it there, would he behave as he used to have his moments at home that were not gracefull. The fist week he loved it and didn't cry once, then the seond week he reaslised that I would be leaving him for a few hours and started to cry every morning. I didn't know what to think. One morning he was holding so tight that my neck was hurning. I got so upset and was going to take him home again, because the way I looked at it was that he didn't like it there. The teacher told me that once I am gone within a few minutes he is grand and running around and playing with the other kids. I had to see for myself, so when Rhys let go of me and I had left the room, I kept on eye on him through a window and as the teacher has said he was grand in a few minutes. Then I knew that he was doing it so that he would be taken home and he would have got what he wanted. It was defenatly a test for me and I think I have won this round. Now he goes every moring and there isn't a word out of him. He loves it and has made some friends. That puts a peace of mind for me as now I can do things in the morning with out worring what is Rhys doing in the next room.

Nov: I came across this post on Google+ where this girl had made money of this site by just writing short articles, me being me I went to inverstigate and that is how I came across Bubblews. If you don't know what Bubblews is. It is a social network where one writes aritcles min of 140 charactors per article. In return you get paid for every view, like and comment that your article gets. That got me interested so iI looked into it and started writing. Since then the rules have changed alot and that is mostly because they are some people that plagiarise others work. It has not happened to me but I know others who's articles were taken. You still get paid for your likes, views (which are not showing any more) and comments, but it depend on where you like and also to do with advertisers. I am not to such how it all works, but what I do know is that it got harder to ear money from it, from when I started writing and that wasn't such a long time ago. There are people on Bubblews a long time and they have made a huge amount of money from it. That is when it was possible to do it.

Dec: Now its already December time to get ready for Santa Clause. We still have done nothing in line of decorating the house. It is possible that we may be moving in this month or the next. For now we are going to try to enjoy Christmas as much as we can.

I have missed blogging so much and I won't be taken breaks this long again.
