Nails of The Day: Essence Me and My Lover Sparkle Sand Effect

Since its only 5 weeks until Christmas, its the perfect time to bring out the Christmas nail polish colours. To start off this Holiday Season early I think it calls for a festive red. I am not that much a red nail polish girl, but when it comes down to Christmas I love wearing them colours. I am kinda in between two, both are by Essence. The first one is Fame Fatal which is what I call a true true Christmas red and the other polish is called Me and My Lover. Me and My Lover is a raspberry red with some glitter. When applied it dries to a sand texture. When I got it first I didn't really like the texture of this polish as it was way out of my comfort zone. I am very plain when it comes to nail polishes as you can see.  In the end I decided to go for Me and My Lover.

Base:
As my base I used Essence The gel nail polish which I really like to use at the moment, we did get off on a rocky note at the start. I really didn't like this base coat, as I found that it peeled very easy. The more I used it the more I like it.

Top:
As my top coat I used Essence The gel nail polish, again I love this top coat. I had the same problem with this top coat and the base I didn't like it at first, the more I used it the more I loved it.

P.S I have a review of these Base and Top Coats

NOTD: Makeup Gallery time to shine, Lavender Cream

Hey guys,

During the week I had posted a review on the Poundland/Dealz Makeup Gallery cosmetics that I had bought, with those products I also picked up some nail polishes. Poundland/Dealz have a good enough nail polish line. The shade range is good, you have some glitters toppers, some glitter with colour, and just normal colours.

This one that I have on today is called Lavender Cream. When I seen this shade I knew I had to have it. Its a shade that I was after but just couldn't find it. Its a cool tones lavender shade. I do have a shade that is a much warmer then this one. It is such an end of summer, start of fall shade.

The price of this baby is only €1.50. The amazing colour pay off that it gives you is just as good as an expensive polish. Its a quick drying formula and is very opaque in two light coats. Its not streaky in anyway. It applies like a dream. I love it so much that I will be purchasing more of these polishes.

Have you tried any of the Poundland Makeup Gallery range? Let me know down in the comments below.

Nails Of The Day: MUA Apricot Candy

Good morning everyone. Its nearly April how fast is this year going? It only seems like yesterday was January. Since its spring I purchased some spring shade nail polish.

This particular polish is by MUA and the shade is called Apricot Candy. Its a peatchy shade, once I seen it I had to have it. I never has this shade of polish before.

This is a square 6.2ml bottle. The consistency is a little watery for me and applies some what streaky. Two coats would get it opaque with minor streaking. Three coats would be best for those of you who would like a very opaque coat.

I don't particularly mind having small amount of streaks as long as its not too visible. I am not a fussy person. All of MUA's nail polish is under €2. For that price I think that it is a good polish and I would totally buy the rest of the line. I like the packaging, the bottle is small and it would be very easy to travel with. Overall I like it and I would buy more.

Have you tries any of MUA's products or their nail polishes. Let me know what you though of them. I would love to hear from you in the coments below.

Thank you for stopping by.

NOTD: Snow Flake nail art

Good morning guys. This is my first attempt at any sort of Christmas Nail art. I have watched so many Christmas nail art tutorials on YouTube and I really wanted to do one myself. I wanted to do something easy so that it doesn't take me all night to do.

This is what I came up with.
I like the way it turned out for the first try. What do you guys think?

Nails of the day: Fame Fatal

Hi everyone. It has been so long since I did a nails of the day. To be honest I didn't purchase any new polishes until a few days ago. I wanted to pick up a true Christmas red polish because I had a nail art in mind to do for the holidays. It was a Santa one that I seen Cute Polish do on her channel.

This Essence polish is called Fame Fatal. Its a deep rich red. What I think is a true Christmas red should be like. It's very opaque in one coat. Here I have done two. I noticed that the shade of red is a little lighter with one coat them with two. Its dries glossy. Drying time is about 6 to 7 minutes.
I really like this shade for €1.79 you can't go wrong.

Thank you everyone who reads my blog. Its been a bumpy year for me and I hope next year will bring me more luck.

Nail Of The Day: Ciaté Mini

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week so far has been much better then mine.

About two weeks ago I bought a magazine and with it came Ciaté mini nail  polish in Pillow Fight and caviar pearls to match in Sweet Dreams. I haven't used the caviar pearls yet! For some reason I think all the pearls will fall off and it will just a waist of my time.

I need to look up on YouTube on how these pearls last and so on. I did try the Pillow Fight polish and to be honest with you I wasn't too impressed. There is a great colour pay off but I needed to use a thick layer of polish. To be honest with you I don't think I would buy a full size as its very expensive polish.

I know there is people out there that love Ciaté but I wasn't too happy with it. Maybe it's because a mini version and there wasn't put as much effort in to them. One thing I forgot to say is there is a fab shine. I didn't use any top coat as I was rushing out when I applied it. That did impress me too.

Do you have Ciaté polishes? What do you think of them.

Thanks for visiting

Nails of the day!

Good morning all. I just has to share my nails with you all

I love this turned out. This beautiful green by NYC is called Cupcakes and Latte. I love how it only takes two light coats to get it opaque.

Since I need a new top coat I put this glitter topcoat Adlai from NYC it's called Disco Inferno. I have just the one coat. I think it's really nice!

What do you think?

Nails of the day

Hi everyone I hope you all had a nice weekend.

Last Friday I did my nails and I have to say it wasn't as bad as it could be. I did the hearts free hands that's why they are not the same shape or size.

I know I smudged one nail, the polish didn't dry.  The yellow polish is NYC Lexington Yellow. I have been looking for a nice yellow polish that would suite my skin tone.

This yellow needs at least three thin coats or two slightly thicker coats.

The wine stripers is from the Rio metallic   collection. I didn't use those stripers and pen all in one. As I didn't know how to use them right.

I hope you like my nail art!

Have you any suggestions for me for the next nail art to try.

Nails of the day!

It has been ages since I did any kind of nail art. I know you may say that's not really arty but I am staring at the start and u have to practice the sits and lines first.

I have to say that I am getting much better at the dots ye lines I  getting there.

I love how this turned out. The light pink is from Avon called: pastel pink and the darker pink is by NYC it's called: Faithful Fuchsia. This has to he the best nails that I have done so far.

I love doing my nails the only thing I don't like is waiting for the polish to dry!

I hope you enjoyed this post!
