First Impressions: Essence Get Big Lashes

Hi everyone. Today I am going to do a first impression on the Essence Get Big Lashes mascara. I got it about two weeks ago and forgot about it.

This is the description on the back of the tube: curl effect, for maximum volume and extremely thick lashes.

When I opened this mascara it has a curves wand with fiber like bristles. I noticed that a lot of product came out on the brush and I had to wipe the excess away. Which turned out to be a messy job. My first coat of mascara was quite impressive I liked the way it separated every lash and it also gave me great length. Not much of a curl or volume though. To get more volume I applies a second coat and ended up with some spider legs, which I don't like to have.

Likes
• The color of the tube.
• The wand, its easy to use
• That it separates my lashes so well

Dislikes
• Too much product comes out at once
• Its a wet formula
As you can see I have more likes then dislikes. It was under €3 and that is always a good bonus for me anyway.
Thank you everyone for reading my posts it means a lot to me.

NOTD: Snow Flake nail art

Good morning guys. This is my first attempt at any sort of Christmas Nail art. I have watched so many Christmas nail art tutorials on YouTube and I really wanted to do one myself. I wanted to do something easy so that it doesn't take me all night to do.

This is what I came up with.
I like the way it turned out for the first try. What do you guys think?

Nails of the day: Fame Fatal

Hi everyone. It has been so long since I did a nails of the day. To be honest I didn't purchase any new polishes until a few days ago. I wanted to pick up a true Christmas red polish because I had a nail art in mind to do for the holidays. It was a Santa one that I seen Cute Polish do on her channel.

This Essence polish is called Fame Fatal. Its a deep rich red. What I think is a true Christmas red should be like. It's very opaque in one coat. Here I have done two. I noticed that the shade of red is a little lighter with one coat them with two. Its dries glossy. Drying time is about 6 to 7 minutes.
I really like this shade for €1.79 you can't go wrong.

Thank you everyone who reads my blog. Its been a bumpy year for me and I hope next year will bring me more luck.

LIfe Update: Where I have been for the past few months.

Good day my fellow bloggers. I know I have been away since September but I just needed this break. So much has been happening and I couldn't find the time to sit down and blog it all. It has been such an overwhelming couple of months. Let me start from the start.

Sep: The week after Rhys' birthday, he started play group. It was such an emotional time for me because I didn't know how he would get on. Would he like it there, would he behave as he used to have his moments at home that were not gracefull. The fist week he loved it and didn't cry once, then the seond week he reaslised that I would be leaving him for a few hours and started to cry every morning. I didn't know what to think. One morning he was holding so tight that my neck was hurning. I got so upset and was going to take him home again, because the way I looked at it was that he didn't like it there. The teacher told me that once I am gone within a few minutes he is grand and running around and playing with the other kids. I had to see for myself, so when Rhys let go of me and I had left the room, I kept on eye on him through a window and as the teacher has said he was grand in a few minutes. Then I knew that he was doing it so that he would be taken home and he would have got what he wanted. It was defenatly a test for me and I think I have won this round. Now he goes every moring and there isn't a word out of him. He loves it and has made some friends. That puts a peace of mind for me as now I can do things in the morning with out worring what is Rhys doing in the next room.

Nov: I came across this post on Google+ where this girl had made money of this site by just writing short articles, me being me I went to inverstigate and that is how I came across Bubblews. If you don't know what Bubblews is. It is a social network where one writes aritcles min of 140 charactors per article. In return you get paid for every view, like and comment that your article gets. That got me interested so iI looked into it and started writing. Since then the rules have changed alot and that is mostly because they are some people that plagiarise others work. It has not happened to me but I know others who's articles were taken. You still get paid for your likes, views (which are not showing any more) and comments, but it depend on where you like and also to do with advertisers. I am not to such how it all works, but what I do know is that it got harder to ear money from it, from when I started writing and that wasn't such a long time ago. There are people on Bubblews a long time and they have made a huge amount of money from it. That is when it was possible to do it.

Dec: Now its already December time to get ready for Santa Clause. We still have done nothing in line of decorating the house. It is possible that we may be moving in this month or the next. For now we are going to try to enjoy Christmas as much as we can.

I have missed blogging so much and I won't be taken breaks this long again.

Dublin Zoo in pictures

Hello my lovely readers. As I promised Dublin Zoo in pictures. I took loads of pictures but I won't put all if them up as some are a little silly. So without any fuerther ado here it is.

As they say one picture has a thousand words. To be honest we really didn't get to see much of the zoo as Rhys was much happier to be in the play groug with other children. By the time we came home Rhys was covered in sand. He really enjoyed himself and that's all that matters as it was his birthday. Thank you everyone for reading my posts it means a lot to me.

Until the next time

What's in my bag (Updated Edition)

Good morning guys. I love reading everyone's "what's in my bag". To be honest I am very nosy. This is the perfect time to do an updated edition.

In this picture my bag looks like its orenge but in real life its red. Yes it is very small but I am really sick of big bags. I got it in Penny's. You may know already but I love Penny's. Wallet: I need to get a new one. Keys: One always needs keys. Sunnies: My are prescription ones that is why they are so dark. Deodorant: Lately I love using the roll on. Its so much easier, I think anyway. Thank you everyone for stopping by. Christina xx

Daily Life: Update on what's coming up.

Hey guys. How was your weekend? Mine was loads of fun. I am going to tell you what I have been doing for the past two weeks.

Last weekend Rhys and I went to my parents house. Rhys had a ball. He got to drive the tractor and the quad. All the freedom of the country side he just loves it. Rhys as all children, loves animals. Between our and our neighbours there is about five dogs always running around. There is nothing like a dog to keep your child quite.

As you may not know it was Rhys' birthday last Wednesday he was three. I can't believe the time has gone so fast. We went to Dublin Zoo. I will post those pictures in an other post. I must warn you that some of them are a little silly.

The next few posts will be

• My outfit for the zoo
• Rhys' outfit
• Day at the zoo.

I hope you will enjoy the next few posts. Sorry this is quite short. I don't have any pictures on my iPod they are all on the tablet that we took.

Thank you all for taken the time to read my posts

Black and Red Queen look

Hi guys! How are you all keeping today? So I was looking at some YouTube vidoes the other night and I came across a look something like what I have done today. It was different colours but I am sure this combo was done before too. This is my first time doing something like this. I am more of smokey eye kinda gal. I always for for the same thing. To be honest I really like it and I think I will do more looks like this. It's much easier to do and it looks fab. This is how I archived this look.

1. Prime.
Prime eyelid with eye primer or a little of concealer with powder. This will help the staying power of the eye shadow and it will also make it pop more.

2. Choose your shade.
Today I went for black and orenge toned red. Apply red on the centre of lid using patting motion with a small shader brush. With a clean brush apply black shade in the outter and inner corners in the eye. Blend into red shade to make it look seem less. Connect both inner and outter corner with the same black by swiping motion and slightly blending into the crease. Using same skin tone or shade lighted shadow to blend just above the crease. Using a light shade for high light.

 (All shadows used are matt)

3. Apply face make up as usuall.

4. Lips.
As this is a dark eye make up a nude lip would be lovely. Today I chose a pink lip. I thought it was really nice together.

All shadows that I used were from the 88 colour matt palette by Blank Canvas cosmetics. If you would like to read my review on this palette Blank Canvas Cosmetics

How I started blogging

Hey guys. Today I am going to tell you how I became blogging. This question was asked on Twitter on a chat I have read a few and they all have been really inspiring. Mine isn't really. Here is my story.

Back when I was doing YouTube I had seen other beauty gurus having blogs attached to their channel but the info was all the same as I just had seen in the video. Around that time my laptop was slowing going on me and I didn't know how much longer I would have it for. So that is the reason I started blogging. When I started I really hadn't a clue what I was doing. I just went into it with out any research on Blogger. What it was about or anything about it in general.  I was lost to say the least. To anyone surprise I gave it up for about nice months. In that time I was looking around blogger, how it all works and also what other bloggers write about. I really thought about it and decided that I would have an other go at it and try to make it work. I still have a lot to learn but I will get there in time. As the saying goes 'Good things come to those who wait'.

I am very happy what I am doing I don't have loads of money so I can't do loads of reviews but what I blog about I enjoy it and I think that is all that counts.

How did you start blogging? Are you thinking of starting. Let me know in the comments.

If you have a blog leave me your links and I'll check them out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Daily Life : OITNB

Hey guys. How are you all keeping? Since my last Daily Life post a lot has gone on in my life. Last Sunday I joined a chat on Twitter #PABchat that is. I really enjoyed being part of this chat and reading everyone's responses to the questions. The girl that was hosting the chat was @Sam_Bugeja. The question were general blogging ones. From this chat I have learned that I need to structure my posts more my pictures should be more creative too. This is what others look for in a new blog. I need to get more followers as you well know. A well structures blog is much easier to read for visiters. I know that I have a lot of work to do on my blog but I am hoping that in time I will be much better.

One of the questions on the chat was 'your favourite app to use'.  I said blogger as I don't have a computer at the moment and the blogger app comes in handy. Most people said twitter and I can see why its much easier to community and to promote your blog. Instagram is up there and is a  very popular way to promote yourself. I still don't  have the Instagram figured out. I find it hard to promote myself. I do find Google plus much better though. I have a community created its called A Beauty Bloggers World.

I am a shy person and I would like to share my posts with people that don't know me so that I don't get judged all the time. Don't get me wrong I won't mind if I make friends on a social media and they read my blog because I know they know what I do and they would be support of my blog.

Do you feel like that?

In other news. I have been having a bad time with Rhys. He has been getting his last tooth and it had been tough on my poor little boy. It has also taken a toll on me too. I haven't been sleeping and then my days are all go go go. I hope that in a few days he will feel much better. I hate to see my little one in pain. He is starting school in a few weeks so we are potting training him and I have to say that he is really good at it. He has given us very little problem with that, as I know some parents have loads of trouble potty training little ones.

I have found myself a new show to watch. Orange Is The New Black I was bored the other night and I thought 'sure I'll watch the first episode and well go from there, I always seen hash tags on twitter for it but it never appealed to me I am more of a Bones or Criminal Minds kind of gal. It has really supprised me that its so good. I am currently on episode 6.

Have you seen it all? What you think of #OITNB?

Well guys I hope you have enjoyed this Daily Life post. If you have any advice for me please don't be shy to say it to me, I won't take it the wrong way.

Thanks again for stopping by.

The Beauty Blogger TAG

Hey guys. I haven't done a tag in a long time so I thought why not do one now. I seen this going around in a few bloggers and I liked it, the questions are interesting and its a great way for you all to get to know me small bit more.

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
To be honest its neither. The type of hair that I have is really annoying because when I have a bit of length it goes in all directions. This is why I always straighten my hair or have it short.

2. What is your natural hair colour?
When I was a child it was a lovely blond but as I got older it turned mousy brow/blond. I really dislike it.

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
I dye it myself, well my boyfriend started doing it for me as I was missing bits and it was not a good look. Its too much not to get my hair done in the salon.

4. How often do you wash your hair?
Every few days now that my hair is short I get a few days out of it. Most would be 3.

5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?
It kind of depends on how If feel on the day. Sometimes I don't even dress up. I do have my lazy days.

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I do it all myself. I watch a lot of YouTube nail art videos. Its much cheaper and I like that I can change it up in a week and don't have to have the same mani for week on end, its so boring if you ask me.

7. How often to you change your nail polish?
I like to change it when it starts to chip. Sometimes I get lazy and leave it and there would be very little polish left on my nail when I realise that I need to take off the old polish and put on a new coat.

8. Do you polish your toes in the winter, too or just in the summer?
Again if I really need to pain my toes nails in the winter I will but other then that I don't bother. No one gets to see my toe nails in the winter anyway,

9. How long does it take to put on your makeup?
It depends on what I am doing that day. If its only something simple that would only take me 10, 15 min. If I was doing a fell face now that would take me about 20 min.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
I most do my face first, if am going to do a smokey eye then I do the eye and then the face.

11. Do you “collect” makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I used to just buy what I needed and use it up and then go buy the same thing again. Now I am a little more of a collector. I also buy make up on other review which I used never do.

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Never. I wear glasses everyday all day so false eyelashes are a no no for me. I did try them before but I really don't like the feel of them on. They are too big I do like the effect that they give.

13. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?
God no. One I don't have the time to do it and two I don't wear make up everyday. I like my skin to get a break for make up. I don't break out but its just nice to get a break from all the foundation and powers clogging  up my pores.

14. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone (or with family)?
No. that would be a waste of make up really.

15. Will you leave the house without makeup?
I am done it plenty of time. I am not shy about my skin.

16. How many high end products do you have?
Not to many really. I have a baby and he has to come first. The ones that I have I got as presents.

17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?
My foundation brush has to be washed at least once a week and my eye ones I do them after each use. I hate picking up a brush and there is an other eyeshadow on it and you have to start all over. I have learned the hard way.

18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you are getting dressed?
Not really about a half hour before I leave the house. I am way to chilled out to be planning any outfits. If I have to go some where Ill do it the night before alright.

19. How often do you change your handbag?
I don't really. I used most the same one as I really don't have the time to be changing handbags.

20. What time do you get up & go to sleep?
I get up what ever time Rhys gets up and that is mostly half 7 or 8. I am in bed for half 12 as I know I have to be up again in the morning.

21. How often & when do you workout?
I have just started as I need to get fit. I got very lazy when Rhys came. I used to walk everyday.

22. Left-handed or Right-handed?
I’m right-handed. :)

23. How tall are you?
About 5 Foot maybe 5'1

24. Do you speak a foreign language?
Well I have a huge story behind me but today is not the day for it. I am originally from Belarus so I would know Russian but I don't have anyone to speak it to and as a result I have forgotten it but if I do go back it will come back to me.

25. How many pets do you have?
I have non.

26. How often are you on Blogger?
Everyday. I always check it. I think its a habit now.

27. Do you read the comments posted blogs?
Every one of them! :)

28. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
I do in some of them. Sometimes I forget about it.

29. How did you come up with your blog name?
Well I really didn't know what to call it and really I didn't look at other blog names and the first thing that came in to my head was Christina's Beauty Blog.

30. What kind of camera do you use for photographs?
I use my iPod. I have a camera but I don't have a USB to import all the photos on to the computer and the camera is dead. I think I need to get a new one soon though.

31. How often do you clean your house? (Daily, weekly, other)
I do it as it needs to be done. I can't really say how often.

32. What is your favourite colour?
Blue

33. What is your favorite beauty/fashion magazine?
It has be you U. Its and Irish beauty and fashion mag

34. Do you swear?
Very bad habit, but don't tell anyone. (Shhhh)

35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Well for the rest of the night I am going to watch Bones. I love that show. I could write so much about Bones but again this is going to be for an other day.

Thank you guys for stopping by and reading. It means the world to me.

Two weeks in pictures!

Hey guys. I am not feeling the best and I really wanted to do a new post for you all. I have seen other bloggers do this 'week in pictures' posts so I have to try this.

I think it would be best to explain a little under the picture what was happening on that day. These picture a little bit over a week. I hope you like this kind of a post. Let me know in the comments if I should do these again. Lets start!!

To start off last Sunday week we had some sort of a carnaval parade. I missed the parade part of it. We had to get the bus and it was late as always when you have to get some where the bus will be late. To be honest I really don't know what this parade was about. It wasn't as good as it said it would be on the paper. All them people matched down the street singning one song. I like their clothes though. In the park a band of drummers played the same song for like 40 min and then it was over! There was so amusements for kids for face painting. I don't think that I would go to it again if it was on.

About a week ago a did my nails and I was really proud of myself that I took the step and put these beautiful stars. What I didn't know was that my boyfriend had planned bowling with some friends and when I was changing clothes all the stars fell off. I got advice from an other blogger to stick them with some nail glue. I will have to try that and hopefully it will work out better for me.

I am trying to diet at the moment. Well trying to get healthy too. Currently I am very unfit. This is a forest berries and pineapple with a banana smoothy. It was quite tasty. I make one every morning for my breakfast! It's very easy to make and it's quite filling too.

I was out in the town last Saturday night. I never get out so when I do I really enjoy myself. This is one selfie that I like.

Last but not least I was at my parents house Wednesday and Thursday. Rhys really enjoyed himself and did not want to leave. He loves driving the tractor and having all that freedom at his hands. In this picture is my sister Katie and Rhys. To me they are like twins. What do you think?

Well this is all for this week in pictures! I hope you like this post!

Daily Life: Keeping up with the Kardashians

Hey guys. Since I haven't done a daily life post in a little while I thought today would be the perfect day as I lost my photos for a post that I was going to write today, never mind that I'll just update you on what's been happening in my life.

I was going to make a post on this topic but it was going to be a short one. So this is why I am going to start with today.

During the week I was watching 'Keeping up with the Kardashiens' now it's not something that I keep up with as its not my sort of entertainment but I was extremely bored and tele was rubbish as usual. It was a new episode were Kim and Kris go to Vienna to some ball. On that trip both Kim and Kris were humiliated on a racial point. There was this white man with his face painted black. He kept saying to Kim 'hey do you remember me' (I think, not sure on the dialogue). Now to me this man shouldn't have been left in to this posh ball. I was in so much shock that this crap still goes on. How can people be so nasty is beyond my understanding. Then when the both women were coming home, this woman ( who was in first class) was extremely racist to Kim about her baby. I won't be repeating what that woman said because it was disgusting behaviour out of a woman. I felt so sorry for Kim. She was so upset when they came back to the states.

I cannot stand racist people, I don't like to be in the same room as  them. They make me sick. I don't understand why do some people have to say nasty thing to other people and have a comment on what they look like.

Ok rant over for this. I feel much better now.

A couple days ago I bought some tapioca pears to make some bubble tea. There has been such a big thing about bubble tea that I have to try it and see what's the fuss about.

I haven't tried it so I hope that I like it. All I need are them huge straws and Ill be sorted.

We are all going to London for Rhys birthday. So that should be fun. Ill keep you updated on that. This trip is going to my first in about 8 years. I can't believe that I haven't left this county is such a long time.

Hope you all are having a nice week.

Did you see that episode of the Kardashians? What did I you think of it.

Thanks all for stopping  by.

Poptastic: Summer Look Jade Jazz, Cherry Sour and Atomic Aqua

Good morning guys and happy Monday again. I can't believe how fast Mondays come around.

In the last post that I did I with this Poptastic palette I said that I would do an other summer look for you and here it is. I really love how it turned out. I didn't plan on what shades I was going to use I just went with the flow. This is what I came up with.

This is the shades that I used to achieve this look.

On the lid: on the very middle I used Jade Jazz and in the inner and the outter corner I used Atomic Aqua. I didn't realise that these two shades would be very simular and in the photos it looks like I have one shade. On my tear ducked  I used Gold Mine to enhance the Jade Jazz and the Cherry Sour that I places on my lower lash line.

Bottom left: Jade Jazz, Cherry Sour and Aromic Aqua.

Face: for my base I used a BB cream to have a nice light base. I didn't even highlight or bronze my face just because I didn't want to cake up my face with loads of products. I hate the feeling that my face is very heavy with all he make up.

Blush: Colletion in Bashful
Mascara: Rimmel Scandaleyes Retoro Glam
Eyebrows: Avon eyebrow pencil in blonde
Gel eyeliner: Essence in 01. Midnight In Paris
Lips: Avon in Naughty but Nice

What do you think of this look?

Thank you all for visiting!
